The South of Scotland Regional Economic Partnership (REP) has announced the successful recruitment of eight new members who will help drive forward its vision for a Green, Fair, and Flourishing South of Scotland.
The appointments follow a recruitment period at the start of this year, where the South of Scotland REP encouraged people from across Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders to apply to become a member for the next two years.

Sheena Boyd – Business and Development Manager with New Cumnock Development Trust.

Helen Keron – Chief Executive of the Glenkens Community & Arts Trust.

Philip Kerr - Chairman of Southdean Community Council and Director WesterHayes Impact Advisory.
These members join a wider group of REP members bringing together a broad range of expertise from across Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders.
The REP is committed to delivering on the South of Scotland Regional Economic Strategy which outlines a collective vision to make the region the best it can be. This includes implementing the new Regional Economic Strategy Delivery Plan for 2025-27 which has a particular focus on action on housing, transport and skills.
Chair of the South of Scotland REP and Dumfries and Galloway Council Leader, Councillor Gail Macgregor said: “It’s great to have new members join the REP as their varying experience and skill set will be invaluable. I have no doubt the new REP members will bring innovation and action, which will add to our collective vision and help further drive forward economic prosperity for the region”.
Scottish Borders Council Leader Euan Jardine said: “We’re delighted to have such experienced individuals join the REP who are passionate about adding value and representing the region to its fullest capacity.”
Chair of South of Scotland Enterprise Russel Griggs OBE added: “The new members’ diverse backgrounds, varying ages, expertise and fresh perspectives will undoubtedly strengthen our collective efforts to deliver the Regional Economic Strategy and ensure we are representing the South in the best way possible.”
